Dr. Herta Oberhauser
Dr. Herta Oberhauser was a physician at Ravensbrueck concentration camp. She was found guilty of performing sulfanilamide experiments, bone, muscle, and nerve regeneration and bone transplantation experiments on humans.
She also focused on deliberately inflicting wounds on the subjects by rubbing foreign objects such as wood, rusty nails, glass, and dirt into wounds.
She was sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment but only served for 10 of those years.
She later became a family doctor in Germany but eventually her license to practice medicine was revoked in 1960.
