Some Important Information

Neuengamme was originally a branch of Sachsenhausen but eventually became its own camp in 1940.

Prisoners were extremely overcrowded and thus resulted in the deaths of many due to widespread diseases.

Prisoners were used in a variety of experiments, some involving the effects of arsenic and tuberculosis.
